    Sodium cyanide is mainly used to extract gold and other precious metals in mining.

    The main applications of sodium cyanide is a gold mining (cyanide leach), as well as zinc-plating and gilding metal products.

    Sodium cyanide is a highly toxic substance (strong poison).
    Sodium is manufactured in the shape of white briquettes.
